Easy Chickpea Falafel and Tangy Salad
Happy Friday everyone!
For today's foodie feature, we have award-winning chef, Amelia Ng sharing her favourite chickpea falafel and tangy salad recipe. This quick and wholesome recipe takes only 20 minutes to make so get ready to screengrab - Try it out this weekend and let us know how you get on!
Here are the ingredients you'll need: 
Skip the store-bought hummus! Chef Amelia shows us just how easy it is to make your very own homemade hummus. You'd be surprised at how easy it really is.


1 Can of Chickpeas 
1/2 Can of Chick Pea Water 
2 tbsp Lemon Juice 
4 tbsp Tahini 
Salt to taste

Gather all ingredients and simply blend everything together with a blender. Drizzle with olive oil and serve.



1 Can of Chickpeas 
1 Red Onion 
1 tsp Cumin Powder
1/4 Rough Chopped Coriander
Salt and Pepper to taste

1. Blend the onions in the food processor.
2. Add in half of the chickpeas, chopped coriander, cumin powder and blend until  smooth.
3. Transfer the mix into a bowl and add in the remaining chickpeas. Mash and season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. With clean hands, shape the falafel and bread it with flour, egg and bread crumbs.
5. Lightly shallow-fry the falafel with vegetable oil at 160C until golden brown.
6. Serve falafels with a side of refreshing greens and drizzle with some tangy vinaigrette.
